Music Clubs

Mr Appleyard hosts a range of music clubs throughout the year.

The children have an opportunity to be part of the Christmas Choir which performs at our popular and successful Christmas Fair run by the PTA. It is a wonderful finale to the whole event and something that everybody like to wait until the end to see. The Christmas Choir also get a chance to perform for the local community when they visit our local Morrison's store. A brilliant opportunity for the local community to see the children and donate to school funds at the same time! The choir is also the backbone for our Christmas service at St Mark's Church at the end of the Autumn Term. The Christmas Choir is open to anybody who just enjoys singing!

There is also a chance later in the year to take part in the Rock Choir!!! This provides a wonderful chance for children to get together and sing some popular rock and roll songs.

Rock Choir

Rock Steady came in to school on Friday 10th March to inspire children to learn to play musical instruments and be part of the Rock Choir. Some of the staff also managed to get in on the act!!! As a result, there are two rock bands in school who have worked with Rock Steady to learn two songs which were performed to the whole school.

Other children work with teachers from the East Riding Music Service Team to learn to play guitar, cello and violin.

We are always looking for opportunities to broaden musical activities to our children.
