School Governors
Our Governing Board plays a vital part in the life of the school. Governors work as a team to provide strategic leadership and hold the school to account. Their role is not to manage the day-to-day running of the school, but to support and challenge the headteacher and staff in achieving the very best outcomes for every child.
The Governing Board’s key responsibilities are to:
-
Set the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction
-
Monitor educational performance and ensure all pupils make good progress
-
Oversee the school’s finances to make sure resources are used effectively and sustainably
-
Ensure the school meets its statutory duties, including safeguarding and equality
Governors come from a range of backgrounds and bring diverse skills to their role. Together, they act as critical friends—supportive of the school, but always ready to ask questions in the best interests of pupils.
Our Co-Chairs of Governors are: Mrs J Power and Mr C Sanders
