We are theologians, philosophers and social scientists

As the world around us changes, so too do our viewpoints, opinions and perspectives.  Our RE curriculum provides children with the skills to learn about a wide variety of cultures and religions, while also providing an encouraging space to ask those big questions that foster intellectual curiosity and wonder.  This is achieved by developing our understanding of Christianity and one of the other six main beliefs each year as well as exploring important cultural and social institutions such as family, holidays, cuisine and identity.

Through a carefully sequenced, vocabulary rich curriculum provided by the Local Authority, the children will develop a depth of knowledge that allows them to foster not only an understanding of the historical, cultural and religious significance of major faiths, but also the skills to compare them and reflect on how their lived experiences share similarities with children around the world.  These skills are underpinned by the British Values promoted across our school as we aim to nurture a balanced and positive world view for every pupil.
